We focused on a different rhyme everyday.
Monday- 5 currant buns in a bakers shop
- we set up our own bakers shop, baked the buns with dough and sold them! We counted the pennies carefully and used a till.
Tuesday- Humpty Dumpty
- we built a wall for Humpty Dumpty with bricks. Unfortunately he fell off the wall and cracked we had to use a plaster to fix him!
Wednesday- A sailor went to sea sea sea/ Row Row Row your Boat
- we made our own boats using sponges. We brought these home to test if they would float or sink at bath time!
Thursday- I'm a little teapot!
- We made our own tea party at the water tray. We decided the alien would like green water for his tea!!!
Friday- Round and Round the Garden - - We taught our teddies in Nursery the rhyme.
Each night the boys and girls had special "homework" to complete at home to help maximise the benefits of nursery rhymes. Keep singing rhymes with your child ☺️
