What a wonderful celebration we had on Friday for our Class of 2021!
We are very grateful that the weather allowed us to hold our Graduation ceremony in the playground for our pre-school children. As their parents and loved ones watched on, the boys and girls performed some rhymes and received their Graduation Certificates. Everyone was beaming with pride, and we cannot wait to see what these little stars do in the coming years. Well Done everyone ☺️☺️☺️
To our wonderful parents, from Mrs McCracken:
Every morning I greet them with a smile at the door,
Happy to hear them arrive, as their footsteps fill the floor.
With eager grins they share their most exciting daily news,
What their parents have said and done, and checking I like their new shoes!
Their bottoms can't seem to find a single place a rest,
But their full of life, contagious energy is what I like the best!
For me every day is a school day, I'm always learning new things,
About myself and about them, through the questions that they bring.
They share their ideas and stories, at times telling me what to do and say,
Sometimes I sit and wonder, "who is the teacher here today?"
They can be loud and boisterous, but equally sweet and kind,
And while they're here and in my care, I'm proud to call them mine!
So 'thank you', is what I'm trying to say, for sharing your child with me,
I appreciate every minute of this honour, of teaching them while they're wee,
To each child, there's one thing you should know, it'll shine through all you do,
Be yourself, it makes you wonderful, be proud that you are you!
The days can be long, but my, the years go fast, and this one's been full of fun,
I wish each child and their parents, a happy summer before P1 😀
