Last week we celebrated Maths Week in Nursery and one of the activities involved making brand new scented play dough for the children to play with. Lots of mathematical language was used to help the children understand about size, numbers, colours and quantity - full, empty, tea spoon, table spoon, cup, orange - and lots of counting as the ingredients were added one at a time!
